This page explains what data we collect on blog.lmxai.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have under the GDPR.

Cookies we use

The consent banner only covers optional analytics cookies. Accept does not turn on first-party page stats or crawler logging.

  • Necessary — store your cookie preference so we do not ask again on every visit.
  • Analytics (optional) — Google Analytics 4 plus a first-party ai_referral event, loaded only after you accept. IP anonymisation is enabled.

Google Analytics

If you accept, we load Google Analytics to measure page views and traffic sources, including a first-party event when the referrer is an AI search product (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, You.com). No advertising features are enabled by default. You can reject analytics and still use the site fully.

First-party page stats

Every page loads a first-party script from api.lmxai.com. It records page views, time on page, scroll depth, clicks on links and buttons, and the referrer. It does not set cookies, store IP addresses, or read form values. Only requests from blog.lmxai.com and its subdomains are accepted. This is not part of the consent banner.

Crawler logs

Known search and AI crawlers (Googlebot, GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and similar) are recorded by server middleware. We send user-agent, path, host, method, referer and IP to LMXAI ingest at api.lmxai.com. This is not a cookie, does not use the consent banner, and is not sent for ordinary human browsers.

Read counts

Each article shows a public read count. We store a single integer per article, with no IP address or user identifier. Your browser remembers this visit in session storage so refreshing the page does not inflate the number.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email and message via Resend and keep them only to reply. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction, and you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch DPA (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Email [email protected].
